Testimonials
To Bloodaxe,
Thank you for hosting our “Vicious Vikings” event at Rushden Library on 30/10/2013. The children, parents and staff thoroughly enjoyed your re-enactment which perfectly illustrated the Viking way of life. The talk was particularly engaging and the children enjoyed learning about the weaponry, trading and the language of the time; in particular your use of authentic outfits, shields, swords, coins and trinkets which made the talk come to life. It was also a great gesture to hand out the glass beads to the children at the end of the event after your detailed description of their worth to the Vikings; this was brilliant and added a very personal element to an already outstanding talk.
We had a surprisingly relaxed and friendly visit to a prominent Northamptonshire Library for a ‘Horrible History – meet the Vikings !’ visit – it was mainly children who were in attendance but we had a good cross section of all age ranges showing an interest in what we were doing and listening and learning about the exploits of the Viking settlers who migrated to this land all those many centuries ago.
